Job summary

American Foot & Leg Specialist is seeking a podiatry medical assistant to support back-office functions across the clinic. The role includes patient greeting, vitals, data entry into Epic, data verification, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination by taking vitals and recording medical history into Epic.
• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms.
• Complies with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
• Schedules surgeries by contacting surgical centers and preparing consent forms.
• Assists physicians with procedures and injections.
• Casts for orthotics and casts for below-knee injuries.
• Performs nail and callus debridement and dressing changes.
• Obtains and records patient data and maintains logs.
