Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Health Technician (Podiatry) to join the Podiatry Department. You will provide patient care support, assist with outpatient and inpatient podiatry services, document encounters in CPRS, and help maintain supplies and patient flow.

You will work under direct supervision to support podiatry staff, participate in diabetic screening, wound care, and basic instrumentation while ensuring safety and quality in a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to support podiatry patients and procedures.
• Experience with charting and patient education within a medical setting.
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards in a clinic.

Responsibilities

• Assist podiatry staff in outpatient and inpatient care.
• Obtain patient histories and review records for allergies or contraindications.
• Perform routine podiatry instrumentation under supervision.
• Conduct glucometer checks, monitor radiology and labs, assist cultures.
• Provide diabetic screening and foot care for Veterans.
• Support with scheduling, document encounters, and manage supplies.
