Job summary

Upperline Health Florida is seeking an energetic, compassionate Medical Assistant to support physicians in delivering complex health services in the clinic setting. This on-site role in Daytona Beach includes exam setup, patient intake, charting, and basic radiology tasks, all while maintaining a patient-centered approach.

Ideal candidates will have podiatry/orthopedic clinic experience and X-ray capability, plus familiarity with Athena EMR, strong communication, and outstanding customer

Qualifications

• Experience in podiatry or orthopedic clinics preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Strong medical vocabulary and computer literacy.
• Experience using EMR systems, preferably Athena EMR.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, with a stable work history and background check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Complete exam intake and review the patient’s medical history.
• Ensure accurate charting for the physician.
• Provide patient care under a podiatric physician, including taking and developing x-rays.
• Perform daily administrative tasks such as stocking exam rooms and disposing of exam room trash.
• Clean and sterilize exam and x-ray rooms after each patient visit and at day’s end.
• Satisfy and document required MIPS quality measures.
