Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support podiatry services. You will collect vitals, prepare patients for procedures, assist with treatments, and handle intake tasks while ensuring safety and accuracy in patient records.

Under supervision you may assist with vaccines, specimen processing, and basic office procedures. Prior MA certification is welcomed, with required BLS and podiatric radiology credentialing within 180 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Work Experience: 1 year Medical Assistant experience or Completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Licenses: BLS, Podiatric Radiology Assistant Certification within 180 days.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Upon Hire Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and documents reason for visit and patient vitals.
• Performs specimen collection and processing per protocol.
• Operates and maintains x-ray machinery with safety standards.
• Assists in procedures and administers medications as qualified.
• Maintains patient records and educates patients and families.
