AHI - Advanced Health Institute is hiring Podiatry Medical Assistants in Bloomington, Minnesota. The role involves providing clinical support in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities, including patient greeting, flow management, and appointment scheduling.
Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and ideally have some healthcare assistant experience. This is a full-time role requiring travel within Minnesota, with possible overnight stays accommodated by the employer.
Advanced Health Institute is looking for Podiatry Medical Assistants to join our team. We service Skilled Nursing Facilities and Assisted Living Facilities with our clinical teams. The role is to support the providers at these client locations.
Greets patient and escorts them to the exam room
Prepares patient for the provider
Room and manage patient flow
Enters patients’ chief complaints and past medical information in system
Schedule follow up appointments for patients
Prepares, administers and provides educational material to patients based on visit
Faxes or calls in prescriptions
Clean, prepare, organize and re-stock exam
Supports patient care by helping the providers during examinations
Completion of Medical Assistant Certification not required
Healthcare assistant experience preferred but not required
High school graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
Skill in prioritizing work and assignments while staying organized
Highly detail oriented
Skill in verbal and written communication
Skill in problem solving
Ability to work independently
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to patients
Ability to adapt to in changes to schedule
Creating an experience for every patient by providing high quality medical services.
