Qualifications

• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine preferred.
• Experience in trauma cases and rear foot/ankle surgery preferred.
• Must have a California license and X-Ray/fluoroscopy license.
• Board qualified/certified with surgical training preferred.
• Spanish language helpful; NP/PA with podiatry specialty encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot using history, exams, x-ray, and labs.
• Prescribe medications, devices, therapy, or surgery as needed.
• Treat conditions such as bunions, warts, nails, tumors, and deformities.
• Provide patient education on treatments and foot care to prevent problems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and refer to physicians when needed.
• Fit prosthetic appliances and manage foot/ankle disorders.
• Work within the clinical team and participate in case conferences.
• Maintain relationships with colleagues and hospital staff for integrated service.
• Work independently and as part of the health care team.
