Job summary

Balance Health's Artisan Foot & Ankle Specialists in Orange County, CA is seeking an experienced podiatrist to join our team under the direction of the CMO. The role focuses on routine and referral podiatric services for patients.

We provide clinical support across leg and foot care, wound management and preventive medicine to enhance patient outcomes. California licensure and a podiatric medical degree are required, with residency training preferred.

Qualifications

• Observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions and progress.
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for medical care.
• Knowledge of diagnosing and treating foot and ankle conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with diverse patients and teams.
• Proficient with computers, including Word, Excel and EMR databases.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
• Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
• Perform wound care management
• Diagnose foot/ankle diseases using histories, exams, x-rays and labs
• Prescribe medications, devices, physical therapy or surgery
• Advise patients on treatments and prevention of future problems
• Provide education/consultation to patients, family and care team
• Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
• Maintain medical records for assigned patients

Artisan Foot & Ankle Specialists is part of Balance Health, the nation’s premier comprehensive lower-extremity focused Physician Practice. We are seeking to hire an experienced Podiatrist for our Orange County, California Region. Under the direction of the CMO, the Surgical Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.

We provide leading podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists with operational support so they can spend their time focused on growing their business and delivering exceptional patient care.

• Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases


• Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles


• Perform Wound Care management


• Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results


• Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery


• Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems


• Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team


• Provide health promotion and preventive medicine


• Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients

Requirements

• Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress


• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care


• Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities


• Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population


• Be proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR database

Education And Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred


• Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of California


• Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry


• Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
