Job summary

Balance Health in Las Vegas is seeking a Podiatrist to join our Foot and Ankle Center in Henderson, NV. Under the direction of the CMO, you will provide routine and referral podiatric services and deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications include a Nevada podiatry license, Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine, and completion of an accredited residency. We offer a base salary of $150,000–$175,000 with a variable plan, full benefits, PTO, and 401(k).

Qualifications

  • Current license as a Podiatrist in Nevada.
  • Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School.
  • Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program.
  • Minimum of three years professional experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Examine feet and legs to diagnose diseases.
  • Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders of the feet and ankles.
  • Perform wound care management.
  • Diagnose foot/ankle diseases using history, exams, x-rays and labs.
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, or surgery as indicated.
  • Advise patients on treatments and foot/ankle care for prevention.
  • Provide education to patients, family, and care team.
  • Maintain medical records for assigned patients.

Balance Health is looking for a Podiatrist to join our team at our Las Vegas Foot and Ankle brand.

Las Vegas Foot and Ankle Center has two offices in Henderson, Nevada, providing exceptional care to informed patients of all ages. The practice has experienced podiatrists who listen and respond to patients, treating each one as a unique individual deserving of first-rate, personalized care. The Las Vegas Foot and Ankle Centers podiatrists prevent, identify, and treat diabetic foot problems with outstanding success to allow our patients to lead active, healthy lives.

Under the direction of the CMO, the Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.

  • Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
  • Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
  • Perform wound care management
  • Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
  • Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
  • Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
  • Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
  • Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
  • Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients
Requirements
  • Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
  • Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
  • Be proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR database
Education and Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred
  • Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of Nevada
  • Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
  • Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit and stand for up to several hours at a time
  • Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information.
Compensation / Benefits
  • Competitive physician salary program with a base ($150,000 - $175,000) +comp. plan (level depends on applicable experience)
  • Benefit eligibility for FT employees working 30+ hours weekly begins first of the month following 30 days of employment.
  • Eligibility to participate in our 401(k) program begins first of the month following 60 days of employment
