Qualifications

Job Overview – Podiatrist

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Podiatrist in Monroe, NY for our client, providing outpatient evaluation and treatment for a broad range of foot and ankle conditions. This role will deliver comprehensive podiatric care, develop individualized treatment plans, provide preventive care and patient education, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities as the Podiatrist:

• Patient Evaluation: Evaluate and diagnose acute, chronic, and complex conditions affecting the foot and ankle.
• Podiatric Treatment: Develop and provide individualized treatment plans for common podiatric conditions and related complications.
• Preventive Care: Provide routine and preventive foot care, including education on condition management and long-term foot health.
• Patient Management: Monitor treatment progress, provide appropriate follow-up care, and adjust care plans based on patient needs.
• Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, treatment plans, and patient documentation.

Qualifications for the Podiatrist:

• Education: Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Licensure: Active and unrestricted New York State podiatry license is required.
• Certification: Board certification or board eligibility in podiatric medicine is required.
• Experience: 1+ years of podiatric clinical experience is preferred, including experience evaluating and treating a broad range of foot and ankle conditions.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience providing culturally responsive care to diverse patient populations is required.
• Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, communication, cultural awareness, interpersonal skills, and commitment to patient-centered care are required.
