Job summary

Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC in Mashpee, MA seeks a licensed Podiatrist to support the Mashpee Wampanoag Health Service Unit. The role involves monthly coverage from 8:00 to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities include diabetic foot care, nail debridement, infections treatment, and prescribing orthoses. Requires a current US medical license, BLS, and at least 5 years post-residency podiatry experience. Equipment provided and coordination with a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Permanent, current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-residency podiatry experience.

Responsibilities

• Routine Diabetic foot exams
• Debridement of nails, calluses, ulcerations, and other skin lesions
• Treatment with antibiotics for infection or ulcerations of the feet and lower
• Diagnose and treat Peripheral Neuropathy, Diabetic-related gait abnormalities with prescribing of Orthosis – functional and accommodative (one pair diabetic shoes per year; two pairs of diabetic inserts per year, per patient).
• Provide follow up for adjustments and address concerns from the patient and ensure that the diabetic shoes and/or inserts fit the patient properly and if they do not fit properly, prescribe replacement for corrected pair as long as they have not been worn.

Estimated Salary/Wage
