The Lower Limb Institute is a growing, physician-led foot and ankle practice seeking a well-rounded podiatrist for time split between outpatient offices and hospital rounds.

You will join a collaborative team delivering conservative care and advanced surgical techniques, serving patients from clinic to OR and inpatient floor while training residents and students.

Qualifikationen

• DPM from a CPME-accredited college required.
• 3-year CPME-approved PMSR residency completed (RRA beneficial).
• Active New Jersey podiatric license or eligibility to obtain before start.
• Federal DEA and NJ CDS registration (or eligible).
• Board qualified or board certified (ABFAS and/or ABPM).
• Willing to round in hospitals, take call, and travel between sites.

Aufgaben

• Provide full-scope podiatry across outpatient clinic and hospital settings.
• Perform diabetic foot exams, wound care, orthotics, injections, and DME.
• Conduct pre- and post-operative podiatric evaluations and follow-ups.
• Perform forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgery; trauma care and limb salvage.
• Involve teaching and supervising podiatric residents and students.

About the Lower Limb Institute

The Lower Limb Institute is a growing, physician-led foot and ankle practice committed to compassionate, patient-centered care. We are seeking a well-rounded podiatrist who is comfortable across the full scope of podiatric medicine and surgery, and who is genuinely willing to divide time between our outpatient offices and hospital rounding.

You will join a collaborative team of foot and ankle surgeons who combine conservative treatment with advanced surgical techniques, care for patients from the clinic through the operating room and the inpatient floor, and help train the next generation of podiatric physicians.

Locations

• Offices: Hackensack, Edison, and Montclair, NJ
• Hospitals: Hackensack University Medical Center, Mountainside Medical Center, and [OTHER AFFILIATES]
• Schedule: [X] clinic days, [X] OR/rounding days, call per rotation

What You'll Do

Outpatient Clinic

• Full-scope podiatry: nail and skin pathology, heel and arch pain, sports injuries, pediatric and geriatric care
• Diabetic foot exams, at-risk foot management, and advanced wound care
• Biomechanical evaluation, orthotics, bracing, and DME
• In-office procedures, injections, vascular studies, and laser therapy
• Pre-operative evaluation and post-operative follow-up

Hospital & Surgical

• Daily inpatient rounding and new consults at affiliated hospitals
• Emergency department consults and shared call coverage
• Forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgery; trauma; limb salvage and infection management
• Skilled nursing and long-term care facility visits as assigned
• Teaching and supervising podiatric residents and students

Requirements

• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from a CPME-accredited college
• Completion of a 3-year CPME-approved PMSR residency (RRA a plus)
• Active New Jersey podiatric license, or eligibility to obtain before start
• Federal DEA and NJ CDS registration (or eligible)
• Board qualified or board certified (ABFAS and/or ABPM)
• Eligible for hospital privileges and payer credentialing
• Willing to round in hospitals, take call, and travel between sites

Preferred

• Wound care and limb salvage experience
• Interest in resident education and academic work
• Strong documentation and coding habits in an EHR
• Team-first attitude and excellent bedside manner
