Qualifications

  • Active DPM license preferred or ability to obtain within applicable timeframe.
  • Possession of DEA registration or eligibility required.
  • CPR certification expected as per state Board of Podiatric Medicine.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients with lower extremity complaints and develop a clinical plan of care.
  • Provide comprehensive examinations and treat foot and ankle conditions.
  • Educate patients on foot care, medication usage, and prevention.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation per state regulations and Upperline Health policies.
  • Participate in continuing education as required by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine.
  • Prescribe medications as permitted by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine.
  • Other related duties as deemed necessary.

About the Podiatric Physician

Upperline Health is seeking a well‑trained Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) to provide foot and ankle care. The candidate must demonstrate compassion for patient needs, have great attention to detail, and thrive in a collaborative environment. As Upperline expands, this individual will be able to explore a wide range of career opportunities within the company.

What You’ll Be Doing

Our DPMs provide Upperline services in a clinic setting. Staff membership at the hospital will be expected.

  • Assess the patients presenting lower extremity complaints, review their medical history, listen to patients’ concerns, perform a physical examination, order appropriate imaging or medical labs, and develop and implement a clinical plan of care
  • Provide care for podiatric patients—including comprehensive examination, an all‑encompassing approach to all aspects of foot and ankle care, at‑risk foot care, painful foot and ankle conditions, trauma, wound care, and surgical management when appropriate
  • Administer advice and instructions on foot care and educate patients and families about general wellness care, medication usage, side effects, medical adherence, and prevention
  • Maintain patient medical records and medical documentation consistent with state regulations and Upperline Health standards and policy
  • Participate in continuing education as required by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine
  • Prescribe medication as permitted by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine
  • Other related duties as deemed necessary
Experience and Qualifications
  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) with appropriate certification and licensure required
  • DPM license required—active license preferred or ability to obtain within applicable timeframe
  • Strong compassion for patients and their families
  • Possession of DEA registration or eligibility requiredCPR certification expected, in accordance with the requirements of the state Board of Podiatric Medicine
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to ensure effective and meaningful interactions with patients, family caregivers, clinicians, and team members
