Job summary

Neighborhood Health Center is seeking a podiatrist to deliver primary and surgical podiatric care in our Buffalo facilities. You’ll lead with kindness while serving populations with limited access to healthcare, reporting to the VP of Integrated Services.

The role is based at our Northwest location, 155 Lawn Avenue, with regular travel to other Neighborhood sites. A Doctorate in Podiatry and NYS license are required, plus board eligibility or certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of four-year podiatry school with residency completed.
• Maintain NYS podiatry license and be board eligible or certified.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and nurses to ensure coordinated care.
• Performs initial assessments and prescribes treatments and medications.
• Performs surgical procedures as determined in treatment plans.
• Provides on-call rotation coverage.
• Based at Northwest location in Buffalo with regular travel to other sites.

As a podiatrist in our FQHC, you’ll lead with kindness as you care for patient populations that include those who’ve had limited access to healthcare. About the Role:

As a podiatrist in our FQHC, you’ll lead with kindness as you care for patient populations that include those who’ve had limited access to healthcare. You’ll use your skills and good judgment as you solve problems and drive change. You’ll report directly to the VP of Integrated Services and will collaborate with primary care physicians and leadership to implement meaningful patient care. Essential duties include:

Collaborates closely with other healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.

Contributes to the overall well-being of our community by providing specialized care and addressing health disparities, and promoting healthy lifestyles in the community.

Performs initial assessments and prescribes treatments and medications as necessary.

Performs surgical procedures as determined in treatment plans.

Provides on-call rotation coverage.

You will be primarily based at our Northwest location, 155 Lawn Avenue in Buffalo, and will also travel to other Neighborhood sites on a regular basis.

What We Offer:

Compensation: $190,000 - $198,000 (based on a full time, 40 hour work week)

Requirements

Education and Experience:

Graduate of four-year podiatry school with a completed residency in an appropriate field.

Maintain current NYS podiatry license and be board eligible or certified in podiatry.
