About the Podiatric Physician

Upperline Health is seeking a well-trained Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) to provide foot and ankle care at our clinic in Trussville, AL. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing podiatric services in a clinic setting; hospital staff membership expected
  • Assessing lower extremity complaints, reviewing medical history, performing physical exams, ordering imaging/labs, and developing care plans
  • Providing comprehensive foot and ankle care, including at-risk foot care, trauma, wound management, and surgical interventions
  • Educating patients and families on foot care, wellness, medication use, and prevention
  • Maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with regulations and company standards
  • Participating in continuing education as required by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine
  • Prescribing medications as permitted by law
  • Performing other duties as needed

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with appropriate certification and licensure
  • Active DPM license preferred; ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
  • Strong compassion for patients and their families
  • DEA registration or eligibility required
  • CPR certification as per state requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
