Job Responsibilities
Position: Podiatric Physician
Upperline Health seeks a well-trained Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) to provide foot and ankle care in our clinic located in Columbus, Indiana. The role encompasses comprehensive patient examination, surgical and non-surgical management of foot and ankle conditions, and biomechanical assessments. What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing podiatric services in a clinical setting, with hospital staff membership expected.
- Assessing patients with lower extremity complaints, reviewing medical histories, listening to concerns, performing examinations, ordering imaging/labs, and developing treatment plans.
- Managing all aspects of foot and ankle care, including at-risk foot care, trauma, wound care, and surgical interventions when appropriate.
- Performing surgical procedures based on scope, training, and experience.
- Educating patients and families on foot care, wellness, medication use, and prevention.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation per regulations and standards.
- Participating in continuing education as required by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine.
- Prescribing medications permitted by state regulations.
- Performing other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree with appropriate certification and licensure.
- Active state license or the ability to obtain one within the required timeframe.
- Board qualification or certification by ABPM and/or ABFAS in Forefoot and Rearfoot or RRA.
- Strong compassion for patients and their families.
- Possession or eligibility for DEA registration.
- CPR certification as per state requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with patients and team members.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, full-time.
