Job description

We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist for an 8-day locum tenens assignment for a Home Health service in Alabama. The ideal candidate will be available to start on 05/12/2025, working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4 PM. This role requires expertise in routine nail maintenance, diabetic foot care, and providing nonsurgical treatments. No prescribing of medications is required for this position.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4 PM

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform routine nail maintenance, including trimming and treating ingrown nails

• Provide comprehensive diabetic foot care, including ulcer treatment

• Manage diabetic neuropathy and related foot conditions

• Offer nonsurgical treatments such as orthotics, casts, and strappings

• Travel to patient homes and nursing facilities

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Nextgen software

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed

• Provide patient education on foot health and preventive care

• Adapt to various home and facility environments

Additional Information:

• Alabama podiatry license required

• Experience with Nextgen EMR preferred
