Job summary

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor in the School of Podiatric Medicine. The incumbent will teach Podiatric Surgery, Medicine and Biomechanics, and participate in a vertically and horizontally integrated curriculum with active learning strategies.

We seek candidates with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), Board certification/qualification, and a background in teaching, research and service.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching is preferred.
• Board-Qualified or Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and/or American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery is required.
• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from an accredited university is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop goals, objectives, pre-read assignments, and case materials for topics.
• Lead large group sessions and facilitate case-based learning.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to students during clerkships.
• Engage in clinical teaching, professional ethics, and OSCE/case development projects.
• Attend monthly faculty meetings and participate in faculty development.
