Job summary

Pace Foot and Ankle Centers, PLLC is hiring a Podiatric Medical Assistant to provide procedural and administrative support to physicians. You will assist with procedures, educate patients, and maintain patient records in the Electronic Health Record.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited Medical Assistant program or have two years of related experience, with strong customer service and data-entry skills, plus the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or two years of similar experience preferred.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• General computer experience with data entry.
• The ability to multitask effectively.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Mandatory own transportation to travel to different facilities on notice.

Responsibilities

• Bringing patients back to the exam room and preparing patients for examination.
• Properly setting up an exam room for the visit.
• Verifies patient information by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit.
• Assisting physicians with procedures as needed.
• Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records by following HIPPA Privacy Laws.
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following safety standards and procedures set forth by OSHA.
• Keeps exam rooms stocked and cleaned.
