Vox Media Group is seeking a Video Editor to support its Podcast Network, editing full-length episodes and shoulder content. You will translate creator voice into a bold podcast aesthetic and craft motion graphics, captions, and on-screen cues while preserving brand consistency across formats.
You will collaborate with hosts and producers to deliver high-quality video on a regular schedule, working with Zoom and studio footage and staying ahead of evolving podcast video trends.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of podcast or social video production experience.
- Proficiency with Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro; motion design a plus.
- Strong sense of pacing, voice, and rhythm for editorial storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Execute editing and post-production for full-length podcast episodes and shorts.
- Translate creator tone into a distinctive podcast aesthetic.
- Design motion graphics, lower thirds, captions, and visual cues.
- Maintain brand consistency across longform and shortform edits.
- Implement split-screens, on-screen text, varied pacing, and punch-ins.
- Collaborate with hosts, producers, and showrunners to iterate quickly.
- Source archival or social content to deepen storytelling.
- Stay ahead of podcast video trends and contribute new ideas.
