Job summary

A media production company in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time Audio Editor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have podcast production experience and at least 1-2 years of audio editing experience. Responsibilities include editing multiple shows each week, managing the production schedule, and ensuring high quality control standards. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $60,000 a year.

Qualifications

• Past podcast production experience is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of full editing audio experience.
• Strong technical ability and file management experience.
• Experience with OMF and AAF files.
• Must be well versed in Protools and the Avid suite.
• Subject to test edit.
• Must have experience working with talent and recording in studio.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly schedule of tasks with the Managing Editor.
• Manage project schedules and communicate with the production team.
• Edit select episodes and implement notes provided.
• Output 10-15 shows per week depending on schedules.
• Ensure quality control through review of full episodes.
