Job summary

Foremark Legal is seeking General Managers to own and launch Foremark's next Pods in New York. You will manage P&L for a practice area, build and lead a cross-functional pod team, and shape the claims thesis and scoring logic within a regulated industry framework.

Ideal candidates are ex-founders or ex-operators with strong ownership and hiring/firing abilities. JD is welcome but not required; substantial leadership and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

• Ex-founder, preferably outside law.
• Ex-operator with significant responsibilities and P&L exposure.
• JD welcome but not required; if practiced, brief.
• Able to set direction with minimal guidance, manage upwards, and execute in regulated industries.
• Able to hire, manage, and fire.

Responsibilities

• P&L ownership for the practice area, including case economics, and internal and external stakeholder management.
• The pod team, from client acquisition, to intake underwriting & ops, to internal / external attorney partnerships.
• The practice-area thesis, meaning which claims we take, which we decline, and how the scoring model should be tuned for this area.
