POINT-OF-CARE TESTING (POCT) COORDINATOR

The Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator oversees daily operations, compliance, quality assurance, and staff competency for all point-of-care testing activities within the hospital. This includes management of testing using glucometers, Hemochron (coagulation testing), and i-STAT (critical care blood analysis) devices. The POCT Manager ensures that all testing is performed accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP).
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology (MT)
Licenses/Certification: Current certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or equivalent.
Experience: Two years’ acute care facility experience in laboratory services. Experience in regulatory and accreditation of lab operations.
