Job summary

Airbus DS Military Aircraft, Inc. in Mobile, Alabama seeks a POA Material Process Specialist to manage procurement activities, supplier relationships and KPI reporting for POA parts.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a related field with 5 years’ aeronautical procurement experience, strong SAP skills, and ability to coordinate cross-functionally with OEMs to assure on-time delivery and airworthiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Engineering, Supply Chain or related field with 5 years in an aeronautical production environment.
• In lieu of degree, 2 additional years in aeronautical production experience accepted.
• 5 years procurement experience including purchasing, supply chain logistics, planning, and aircraft parts.
• Leadership or team management experience in a production environment; SAP data management; cross-functional coordination; procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage risks and opportunities related to POA activities.
• Oversee contract efforts, engineering changes, purchase requirement generation and part procurement.
• Manage P.O. activities for POA parts with OEM vendors.
• Produce, monitor and manage KPI data and reports (Key Process Indicators).
• Communicate with transporting couriers on delivery of spare parts.
• Establish procedures, priorities, schedules, surveillance and coordination of procurement actions.
• Negotiate with OEMs for best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on schedule requirements.
• Review vendor database for accuracy and maintain current information.
• Prepare and deliver briefs, updates and reports to internal and external stakeholders, multi-functional teams.
• Certificate parts under EASA part 21 regulation (EASA Form1) for assuring airworthiness of parts.

DUTIES

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field and 5 years in any job title involving experience in an aeronautical production business.
• In lieu of degree as stated, employer will accept 2 additional years in any job title involving experience in an aeronautical production business.
• Prior experience must also include: 5 years of experience in a procurement field of responsibility to include purchasing, supply chain logistics, planning, and experience with aircraft parts; Leadership experience or team management in a production environment; Experience using SAP to manage large volumes of data; Experience operating standards across finance, quality, and production functions; and Experience with procurement processes for parts and services.
