Job summary

Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services is seeking a seasoned Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement across all product lines in Ohio. You will lead a team, ensure timely purchase of goods and services, and maintain quality compliance within corporate processes.

The role requires extensive experience in purchasing, contracts, and materials management, with strong knowledge of aviation regulations, SOX, and UCC.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Working knowledge of contractual language.
  • Understand and operate computer inventory and purchasing management systems.
  • Proven record of effective leadership of a purchasing and materials staff.
  • 10 years in a purchasing, contracts and materials management environment.
  • 5 years in a purchasing, contracts and materials management leadership role.
  • 5 years in an aviation support position.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of purchasing software and material order tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with Purchasing Policy & Procedures Manual.
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley financial regulations & reporting, FAA regulations, and applicable FAR.
  • Familiarity with Uniform Commercial Code and Small Business regulations.
  • CASE certification of aviation suppliers.

Responsibilities

Job description
