Job summary

Sunvair Aerospace Group is seeking an experienced Pneumatic Technician to perform skilled troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and modification to aircraft pneumatic components in accordance with CMM regulations.

You will disassemble, inspect, repair, overhaul, test, document repairs, and ensure compliance with airworthiness directives; work under minimal supervision; English communication required; Spanish a plus; strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years experience or education equivalence.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills in English. Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines, manage a large volume of communication and be a team player.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities for moderately complex issues.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • With minimal supervision, disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and test accessory components using hand tools, power tools, equipment, and test equipment as per customer airworthiness requirements.
  • Read, understand, and follow Pneumatics component manufacturer manual (CMM) procedures in order to complete the assigned steps in component repair.
  • Write detailed reports in order to record the teardown and corrective action of each repair.
  • Create 100% kits and parts list to complete the unit’s repair.
  • Read, understand, and perform service bulletins and airworthiness directives.
  • Obtain all the necessary tooling for completing the jobs and ensure effective and accurate job completion.
  • Perform failure analysis in order to improve component reliability.
  • Maintain housekeeping in the work area. Ensure the shop is cleaned up, tools and equipment are put away and properly maintained.
  • Participate and complete training in order to advance troubleshooting skills.
  • Provides OJT (On the job training) to less experienced technicians as needed.
  • Remain familiar with all shop equipment operations and its maintenance and is able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.
