The University of Georgia is seeking a field technician to assist PMRC field crew with data collection and field work, including measuring pine and hardwood trees, fertilization, and installing research plots.
The role requires extensive travel to research installations across the region and working in varying conditions.
Assist Plantation Management Research Cooperative (PMRC) field crew with a variety of different field work and data collection. This will entail measuring characteristics of pine and hardwood trees in the field, fertilization, and installation of research plots. Extensive travel required to visit research installations.
High school diploma; experience in forest measurements preferred.
Understanding of forestry measurements and tools.
This position requires that you be willing to work in extreme temperatures and lift fifty-pound bags of fertilizer repeatedly.
