Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) in Decatur, AL, seeks a PMP Factory Support Engineering Leader to steer the PMP Factory Support Engineering and Test Lab teams. This role ensures PMP support for factory issues, maintains manufacturing specs, and drives process improvements in a high-stakes aerospace environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in engineering, lab management, and leadership, with experience in budget forecasting and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in an Engineering discipline or related technical field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with project management, as a team lead, or leading people.
• Demonstrated experience in the resolution of complex part, material, and process anomalies and issues.
• Familiarity with the operation and management of materials laboratories.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, develop test procedures, forecast budgets, and manage priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead PMP Factory Support Engineering and PMP Test Lab team for testing operations and acceptance.
• Provide engineering support to production operations.
• Develop and maintain PMP process specifications and procedures.
• Procure and maintain laboratory equipment and services; manage budgets.
• Monitor lab schedules, coordinate cross-training, and develop organizational and technical strategies to improve lab performance.
