Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC. is seeking a Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP) Factory Support Engineering (FSE) Leader to join our team in Decatur, AL.

This role leads the PMP FSE and Test Lab, ensuring factory PMP support, developing lab procedures, and managing budgets and staffing for peak performance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6+ years of relevant experience, with strong leadership, communication skills, and familiarity with lab operations and materials

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline or related field.
• Experience with project management, as a team lead, or leading people.
• Demonstrated experience resolving complex part, material, and process anomalies.
• Familiarity with operation and management of materials laboratories.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, develop test procedures, forecast budgets, and manage priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Lead PMP Factory Support Engineering and PMP Test Lab team operations.
• Oversee testing for acceptance and verification of metals, non-metals, and chemicals.
• Develop and maintain PMP process specifications and lab procedures.
• Procure and maintain equipment; manage budgets and headcount.
• Monitor lab schedules, coordinate cross-training, and plan strategy to improve performance.
