Job summary

San Juan College is seeking an engaging Adjunct Instructor to prepare students for the PMP exam and deliver PMI course content at the Center for Workforce Development. You will develop curriculum, manage classroom dynamics, and ensure alignment with PMI guidelines.

Instructors may work remote or hybrid within NM, AZ, CO, and TX with approval. The role requires PMP certification, a relevant degree, and experience in project management and teaching, plus familiarity with PM tools and PMI standards.

Qualifications

• Active PMP certification in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 3+ years of project management experience and at least 1 year of teaching, corporate training, or public speaking.
• Deep fluency in the PMBOK Guide (latest edition) and familiarity with project tools like MS Project, Jira, or Trello.
• Access to home internet, a personal computer, and telephone is required.
• Train the Trainer (TTT): Instructors must complete and pass the PMI Authorized Training Partner TTT session for the PMP course.
• Official Courseware: ATP instructors are required to use the PMI-developed licensed course content and slides.
• Authorized Badge: After passing the TTT exam, instructors receive a specific Authorized Training Partner Instructor badge.
• The following REQUIRED documents must be submitted with application in order to be considered. Upload all required documents under the Application Questions 2 section for "Additional Documents Required".

Responsibilities

• Prepare students for the Professional Project Manager (PMP) exam.
• Develop and teach non-credit PMP courses and manage classroom activities.
• Assist with marketing of classes with approval from the Community Learning Center Director.
