Job summary

TinkBird Healthcare Staffing seeks an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for a full-time, permanent PMHNP role in outpatient primary care across western NC locations, including Henderson and surrounding clinics.

Two years of direct patient care preferred; NC APRN license and DEA registration required. You will deliver comprehensive psych assessments, evidence-based treatment, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team to serve rural communities.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with PMH specialization.
• Current PMHNP licensure and NC APRN license.
• Active DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
• Minimum of 2 years direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications for a range of mental health conditions.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and other team members to coordinate integrated care.
• Conduct follow-up evaluations and monitor treatment effectiveness and adherence.
• Educate patients and families on options, adherence, and coping strategies.
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization for acute psychiatric distress.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and support quality improvement initiatives.
