Pratt Institute seeks a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join its Integrated Student Health Center team in New York. You will deliver high-quality psychiatric care to a diverse student population in a coordinated-care model, working with primary care and counseling staff.

The role emphasizes young adult mental health within a holistic campus setting, with collaboration across disciplines, crisis management, and policy development.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with PMHNP specialization from an accredited program.
• Current NY RN license and NP license with prescriptive privileges (DEA).
• National PMHNP certification (ANCC/AANP).
• Federal DEA license; BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and DSM-5/ICD-10 diagnoses.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with psychopharmacology.
• Coordinate care with primary care, counseling staff, and BIT.
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning.
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR per HIPAA and standards.
• Serve as primary psychiatric resource for interdisciplinary team.
• Educate and support wellness initiatives for students.
