Job summary

Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health is seeking a Part-time Nurse Practitioner for 20 hours per week with flexible and evening hours, hybrid work 2 days per week in Columbia, MD. The NP will provide evidenced-based, integrated treatment for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating adults, coordinating with the care team, and ensuring accurate documentation. Experience with SUD and DEA/CDS considerations is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in SUD population is required.
• Understanding of DSM-V and diagnosis codes.
• Must have organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Not in recovery while working with DEA regulated medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide integrated behavioral health services to patients both virtually and in person.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat adults with co-occurring SUD and mental health disorders.
• Coordinate care with counselors, case managers, and the treatment team.
• Complete medical records, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing entries accurately.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs as needed.
• Design and document treatment plans including prescriptions where appropriate.
• Collaborate with primary care providers on admission, discharge, and transfer decisions.
• Educate patients and family on disease processes and treatment plans.
• Lead and participate in clinical rounds and team meetings.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory documentation and accreditation readiness.
