Job summary

Juniper Health in Beattyville, Kentucky is seeking a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for behavioral health patients in a clinical setting. You will collaborate with a collaborative physician, maintain Kentucky licensure, and follow the PCMH model to ensure comprehensive, coordinated, patient-centered care for all ages.

This full-time role requires ACLS certification, state license, and ongoing professional development;

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (PMHNP) required.
• National PMHNP certification required.
• Active Kentucky NP license required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Supervisory/collaborative agreements per Kentucky law.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric assessments and prescribe psychotropic medications within scope.
• Maintain accurate records for continuity of care and coding.
• Communicate with patients and families about condition and treatment.
• Maintain clinic hours and provide patient care during hours.
• Collaborate with Clinical Manager and health leadership on behavioral health matters.
• Provide clinical consultation to JHI providers on medication and treatment planning.
• Maintain current licensure in Kentucky.
• Adhere to PCMH model to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
• Refer patients to appropriate sources of care.
• Attend conferences to stay updated on the field.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
