Job summary

Jefferson College of Nursing at Thomas Jefferson University invites applications for a full-time graduate faculty position in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program at the Lehigh Valley instructional site. This 12-month salaried role supports growth of graduate nursing programs and the preparation of advanced practice nurses.

Qualifications

• Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification is required.
• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university is required; doctoral degree preferred; candidates without a doctoral degree must be enrolled in a doctoral program.
• Eligible for or currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Pennsylvania.
• Demonstrated teaching experience in an accredited academic nursing program is required, preferably in graduate nursing education.
• Knowledge of teaching and learning strategies, curriculum development, and student evaluation in nursing education.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and clinical partners.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach and evaluate graduate nursing students across classroom, simulation, online, and clinical settings.
• Teach PMHNP Program courses and graduate core, support, and DNP courses as assigned.
• Collaborate with colleagues and leadership on curriculum planning and program development.
• Advise and mentor graduate students to support academic progression and professional development.
• Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement, including learning outcomes assessment.
• Coordinate with clinical partners to ensure high-quality clinical experiences and site/preceptor identification.
• Contribute to accreditation, certification, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Serve on committees and participate in governance and institutional activities.
• Maintain clinical competence and engage in scholarly/professional activities.
• Support recruitment and outreach for the College.
• Align duties with the College of Nursing and Thomas Jefferson University mission and values.
• Interact with staff and colleagues in alignment with the Enterprise core values.
