Job summary

CIMPAR is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and behavioral health services to adults in behavioral health hospitals in Chicago.

The PMHNP will work with an interdisciplinary care team and operate under a Collaborative Practice Agreement with a supervising psychiatrist. In-person services are the initial mode, with potential telehealth as programs grow.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a concentration in psychiatric or mental health nursing.
• Graduation from an accredited advanced practice nursing program specializing in psychiatry and mental health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up assessments.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat adults with psychiatric, emotional, and behavioral health conditions.
• Provide ongoing psychotropic medication management.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness, adherence, and side effects.
