Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing with PMHNP certification.
• Unrestricted PMHNP license in state of practice.
• Board certification as PMHNP.
• Current DEA Registration.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum one year PMHNP experience; corrections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment, follow-up care, and medication management within professional standards.
• Monitor effectiveness and side effects of psychotropic medications; provide patient education and informed consent.
• Collaborate with mental health, medical, and administrative teams to ensure coordinated psychiatric services.
• Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and participate in required meetings, consultations, and on-call coverage.
• Support crisis intervention, referrals, transfers, and emergency or involuntary treatment processes as allowed by scope of practice.
