Job summary

Choptank Community Health is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to lead behavioral health services in Cambridge or Federalsburg. You will conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnose, plan treatment, prescribe medications, and coordinate with other health lines to ensure holistic patient care.

The role requires a PMHNP with strong clinical skills, board eligibility or certification, and experience in nonprofit BH settings. Salary is competitive within the pay grade 10 structure.

Qualifications

• PMHNP with at least 4 years of psychiatric clinical nursing experience.
• MD Board certified or board eligible.
• Buprenorphine prescription privileges preferred.
• At least 2 years in behavioral health with a non-profit, FQHC, or outpatient facility.
• Experience with evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversees medical behavioral health services and clinical care standards.
• Ensures comprehensive mental health evaluation and documentation in the EHR.
• Participates in treatment team activities and reviews treatment plans.
• Manages medication prescribing and overall medication management.
• Helps develop policies and coordinates with other health service lines.
