Job summary

West River Health Services in Hettinger, North Dakota is looking for a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for mental health problems. This position involves comprehensive patient assessments and educating clients and families about mental health.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health setting is preferred.
• Maintains current Drug Enforcement Agency certification for North Dakota and South Dakota.
• Current, valid driver’s license in the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats behavioral health problems.
• Conducts comprehensive assessments in an outpatient setting.
• Documents medical evaluations and treatment plans.
• Educates clients and families about mental health issues.
• Acts as a clinical liaison with community-based care teams.
• Provides education and training for staff on mental health practices.
