Job summary

Spectrum Medical Partners is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Atlanta-based team. The PMHNP will provide psychiatric care across multiple facilities, with autonomy and professional growth in a physician-led group.

Travel to onboard new providers and support ongoing care are integral parts of the role. Qualified candidates have at least 1 year PMHNP experience, active Florida APRN license, PMHNP board certification, and a DEA license.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and document patient histories.

• Educate patients on health, prevention, and conditions.
• Refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
• Participate in case reviews and care coordination.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and reporting standards.

Job Title

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Full time, Monday‑Friday

Location

Atlanta

About The Role

PHA is seeking a dedicated PMHNP with strong clinical skills and a minimum of 1-year PMHNP experience. Applicant must be open to travel, onboard new providers, handle training of new providers and provide clinical support for new providers and current providers to join our growing team. You will provide psychiatric care across multiple skilled nursing facilities, collaborating with staff and ensuring the highest quality of patient-centered care. This position offers autonomy, professional growth, and the support of an experienced physician-led group.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, record patient histories, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and facility staff.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and psychiatric conditions.
• Refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
• Participate in case reviews, consultations, and ongoing care coordination.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and reporting standards.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Active State of Florida APRN license in good standing.
• National Board Certification as PMHNP.
• DEA license required.
• Post-acute care experience required.
• 1 year of psychiatric experience
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
