Job summary

SI Group Morgantown seeks an Area Operator to own the asset and operate production equipment in line with our ZERO EHS impact philosophy. You will support site production, ensure equipment runs according to the schedule, and report any issues to maintain safety, ecology, and efficiency.

This position reports to the Production Supervisor and requires 0–3 years in an industrial manufacturing facility, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Must comprehend chemical processes and operating systems.
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment where required.
• Safely drive and spot trucks for loading/unloading.
• Knowledge and ability to safely operate fork trucks.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs.
• Cleared to wear a respirator to doctor's satisfaction.
• Cleared by physician to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely per Morgantown Safety Policies and SOPs to protect personnel.
• Perform LOTO in accordance with site policy and procedure.
• Drive and spot trucks for loading and unloading.
• Engage in loading/unloading and labeling of materials and containers.
• Inspect equipment for hazards and perform basic maintenance; troubleshoot.
• Collaborate with SAP as necessary.
• Overtime may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Individuals are responsible for performing the necessary duties to ensure their area produces product according to the production schedule priorities in a safe, ecological, and efficient manner.

This position reports to the Production Supervisor

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Perform safe operation of all equipment in accordance with Morgantown’s Safety Policies and Standard Procedures to ensure personal safety as well as that of co-workers.
• Safely perform LOTO in accordance with site policy and procedure.
• Safely drive and spot trucks for loading and unloading.
• Engages in loading/unloading and labeling of various materials and containers.
• Inspects equipment for potential and actual hazards; develop equipment troubleshooting and maintenance skills; check out equipment prior to start-up after a shutdown.
• Work with SAP as necessary.
• Position may also involve tasks in the management and/or handling of hazardous waste.
• Work overtime when necessary.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Experience:

0 – 3 years in Industrial Manufacturing Facility.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED
