Job summary

Shaner Group operates a hotel dining venue that seeks an attentive food and beverage server. You will take orders, serve meals and drinks, and handle payments while maintaining a welcoming restaurant area. The role requires flexibility, weekend/holiday shifts, and adherence to safety standards.

Candidates should have at least one year in a similar public-facing role, be of legal age to serve alcohol, and communicate well with guests and staff. Bilingual English/Spanish is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
• Must meet state age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management and coworkers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (TIPS).
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions suitable for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Collect payments and assist in maintaining the restaurant area and equipment.
• Communicate with General Manager and department staff to ensure service quality.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

• Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
• Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
• Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
