Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited PM&R residency program.
• Board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Track record of securing research funding and publishing in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Experience designing and conducting clinical trials is advantageous.
• Strong leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration abilities.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a robust research program in PM&R with core focus areas.
• Provide high‑quality clinical care while incorporating evidence‑based practice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate research into clinical applications.
• Secure external funding through NIH, DOD, foundations, and grants.
• Publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at venues.
• Mentor junior faculty, residents and fellows in research and clinical practice.
• Contribute to curriculum development and teaching activities in PM&R.
• Support strategic planning and growth of the PM&R department.
