Job summary

Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC seeks an executive leader to oversee enterprise clinical research financial operations supporting industry-sponsored trials.

You will direct pre-award and post-award activities, supervise finance staff, ensure billing compliance, and drive process improvements to accelerate study activation and sponsor reimbursement.

This role partners with contracting, compliance, IT, investigators, and sponsors to sustain financial performance of the research program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Research Administration, or related field.
• Minimum seven years of experience in clinical research financial operations or related fields.
• Minimum three years of leadership or supervisory experience in research finance or related staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for enterprise clinical research financial operations.
• Design and direct the clinical research finance team and workload allocation.
• Oversee pre-award activities including coverage analysis and budget development.
• Oversee post-award activities including invoicing, collections, and financial reporting.
• Monitor metrics and ensure compliance with billing regulations; drive process improvements.
