Job summary

Epic Health System Llc in Southfield, MI, is seeking a PM&R Physician to diagnose, treat, and manage functional impairments with a patient-centered rehab approach. The physician will work within an interdisciplinary team to restore function and quality of life for diverse patients.

The role requires MD/DO, board eligibility/certification in PM&R, MI license, and DEA license; fellowship training in pain/sports/spinal injury is a plus.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in MI.
• DEA license.
• Fellowship training in pain medicine, sports medicine, spinal cord injury, brain injury, or musculoskeletal medicine is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with musculoskeletal, neurologic, and functional impairments.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, patient-centered rehabilitation plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, and other specialists.
• Perform and interpret procedures such as EMGs, joint injections, ultrasound-guided injections.
• Manage both acute and chronic pain using non-surgical approaches.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans based on patient response and goals.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and rehabilitation goals.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR system.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Optionally supervise advanced practice providers.
