Job summary

Bear Tooth Theatrepub in Anchorage is seeking Line Cooks for both full-time and part-time roles. You will prepare high-quality dishes following Tooth Company recipes, working with front- and back-of-house teams to ensure a superb dining experience.

Applicants should be 18+, possess an Anchorage Food Worker Card (or be willing to obtain one), and be prepared for a fast-paced teaching kitchen with room for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures and policies.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients.
• Read tickets carefully and produce orders following recipes.
• Monitor temperatures and cooking times; ensure quality in every item.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and rotate food per codes.
• Report equipment or food quality issues to a Manager.
• Communicate clearly with all restaurant staff and complete opening/closing duties.
• Assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks; work as part of a team.

You will work closely with both front- and back-of-house teams to ensure our guests have a fantastic dining experience. Line Cooks must maintain a clean work environment and follow company hygiene and dress code policies to ensure food safety. Join us for a fun and fulfilling opportunity!

Full-time and part-time positions available. Must have evening and weekend availability.

Essential Functions

Duties & Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
• Extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients
• Read printed tickets carefully with attention to detail
• Accurately produce orders following recipe guidelines and ticket specifications
• Monitor temperature and cooking times while taking personal pride in every item delivered for service
• Operate kitchen equipment safely
• Proper handling and rotation of food according to food service codes
• Promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a Manager
• Communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
• Complete all opening, closing, and side duties
• Assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed
• Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect

Requirements

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older with a Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card (or willing to obtain one). Experience is preferred; however, this is a teaching kitchen, and we are willing to take on the right candidate with a positive attitude in place of experience. There are ample growth opportunities for the right candidate.
