Job summary

Pacific Hospitality Group is seeking a Laundry Attendant for a Hyatt Place Phoenix/Downtown property. You will handle soiled linens, operate laundry equipment, and maintain cleanliness of the laundry area to support guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include sorting and washing linens, reporting equipment issues, and ensuring timely service. No formal education required; physical stamina and a positive attitude are valued in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Prior high-volume laundry experience in a hotel environment.
• No formal education required.
• Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Removes and sorts dirty linens and towels from laundry carts.
• Washes and dries linens, towels, and rags per standards.
• Learns operation of washing machines and dryers and uses chemicals safely.
• Reports repairs or maintenance of laundry equipment or areas.
• Resolves guest complaints within scope, or escalates to management.
• Notifies management of problems from guest complaints or disturbances.
• Wears non-slip, oil-resistant shoes and adheres to schedule.

Removes and sorts dirty linens and towels from laundry carts.2. Washes and dries all linens, towels, rags, etc., as directed by management.3. Learns, understands and follows the proper operation of washing machines, dryers, other equipment and use of chemicals. Cleans dryer filters daily (or more frequently as needed) and maintains all equipment as trained and instructed.4. Immediately reports any noted repairs or maintenance of laundry equipment, guestroom, public areas, or back of the house areas.5. Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority, otherwise refers the matter to management. Notifies supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.6. Notifies management of any problems resulting from guest complaints, intoxication or disruptive behavior7. Must wear non-slip, oil-resistant shoes.8. Reporting to work as scheduled (on time and on regular basis) is an essential function of the job.WHAT YOU WILL BRINGLaundry Attendant washes all soiled linens, towels, napkins, tablecloths, or other assigned items and ensures they are properly ironed, folded and stocked according to department procedures and standards to exceed guest satisfaction. Maintains cleanliness of the laundry room. Reports damage, mechanical deficiencies, suspicious activities or theft.GREAT IF YOU HAVEPrior high-volume laundry experience in a hotel environment.Positive attitude and professional demeanor.No formal education required.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands to reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to lift/move and up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
