Job summary

Black Desert Resort, nestled in the red rock landscape of Southern Utah, seeks a PM Housekeeping Manager to supervise overnight housekeeping operations from 5pm to 2am. You will ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean, stocked, and guest-ready for the following day, with inspections and cross-department coordination.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of supervisory housekeeping experience in a luxury environment, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage staff

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of housekeeping supervisory experience in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to lead overnight shift with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the second shift housekeeping team and overnight team, including guest room attendants and lobby attendants.
• Coordinate nightly cleaning assignments and public area rotations to ensure spaces are clean, stocked, and secure.
• Respond promptly to late-night guest requests, deliveries, and housekeeping needs.
• Conduct inspections of guest rooms, hallways, restrooms, and service areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including PPE use and chemical handling.
• Monitor linen usage and coordinate overnight laundry operations.
• Communicate maintenance issues, lost and found items, or safety concerns to appropriate departments.
• Manage employee scheduling, breaks, and shift coverage for full second shift.
• Train and coach overnight team members to follow resort procedures and hospitality standards.
• Prepare and deliver shift reports and overnight updates to daytime leadership.

Job Summary:

The PM Housekeeping Manager supervises the overnight housekeeping team to maintain the resort’s high standards for cleanliness, presentation, and safety. This leadership role includes conducting inspections, resolving late-night guest needs, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring a smooth handoff to the daytime management team. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing staff in a luxury hospitality environment.

Onsite: Black Desert Resort

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time / 5pm - 2am

Pay Range: $58,000 - $66,000/year. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and chemical handling
• Monitor linen usage and coordinate overnight laundry operations
• Communicate any maintenance issues, lost and found items, or safety concerns to appropriate departments
• Manage employee scheduling, breaks, and shift coverage to ensure full second shift coverage
• Train and coach second shift and overnight team members to follow resort procedures and hospitality standards
• Prepare and deliver shift reports and communicate overnight updates to daytime leadership
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 2-3 years of housekeeping supervisory experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical usage, and OSHA safety standards
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight during overnight hours
• Proficiency with housekeeping and scheduling systems (e.g., Nuvola) a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• Flexible schedule with consistent availability for overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
