Job summary

Ashland University is seeking a full-time PM Grill Cook for Eagles Nest to manage lunch and dinner service, supervise student workers, and help with inventory and promotions. The role runs evenings Monday through Thursday and daytime Friday, with a focus on training, quality, and customer engagement.

Responsibilities include setting up, maintaining a clean station, mentoring staff, scheduling shifts, and contributing to menu promotions. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Basic understanding of inventory and stock management.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Ashland University will not sponsor or take over sponsorship for an employment visa.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders from in-house orders as well as Grubhub orders throughout the lunch and dinner service from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am Monday – Thursday, and 10:30 am – 7:00 pm Friday.
• Set up station for the day, prep any items needed for service.
• Maintain a clean and organized station throughout service.
• Oversee and mentor student employees providing training and guidance.
• Assist in scheduling shift for student workers.
• Monitor student performance and provide feedback to ensure high standards of service.
• Assist in monthly Inventory counting and monitor stock rotation and expiration to minimize waste.
• Collaborate with management to promote grill events, specials, and new menu items.
• Assist in creating and distributing promotional material, engaging with customers and gathering feedback.
