PM Full-Time Line Cook - DoubleTree by Hilton McLean Tysons

We are hiring for a PM shift Cook responsible for preparing high-quality food according to standards, supporting team members, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Responsibilities
  1. Food Quality and Production: Ensure top food quality, perform daily line checks, maintain consistency, and develop SOPs to maximize quality across all outlets.
  2. Presentation / Menu Changes: Maintain outstanding presentation standards, keep accurate use records and photographs, and stay updated on menu changes.
  3. Cost Control: Follow procurement guidelines, control food costs, and manage resources within budget.
  4. Guest Service: Ensure guest satisfaction by meeting food standards, addressing concerns promptly, and collaborating with kitchen staff.
  5. Safety/Risk Management: Adhere to food safety standards, ensure a clean environment, and comply with all regulations.
  6. Self/Workload Management: Effectively manage workload, communicate clearly, and promote a positive work environment.
Required Skills and Experience
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. College or culinary degree, or equivalent experience.
  3. At least 1 year of progressive cook or kitchen experience, preferably in a hotel setting.
  4. Attention to detail, good communication, problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work extended hours, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  7. Preferably 2+ years as a cook in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
  8. Schedule flexibility for AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Pay rate: $19.00 - $19.50 per hour.
