Job summary

A commercial painting contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Paint Project Manager / Estimator in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in commercial painting operations, capable of estimating, winning, and delivering projects exceeding $1M. Commercial Paint Project Manager / Estimator

I’m working with a well-established and growing commercial painting contractor that’s looking to add an experienced Commercial Paint Project Manager / Estimator to their team. This role is suited for someone who understands commercial painting operations end-to-end and can confidently estimate, win, and deliver complex commercial and light industrial projects.

This is a key hire for the organization and offers long-term stability, autonomy, and growth for the right individual.

Role Overview

The Project Manager / Estimator will be responsible for estimating and bidding commercial painting projects while also overseeing execution from preconstruction through close-out. You’ll act as a primary point of contact for general contractors and property managers and play a hands-on role in driving project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and bid commercial and light industrial painting projects, including projects exceeding $1M

  • Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, property managers, and repeat clients

  • Manage awarded projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality standards are met

  • Coordinate with field leadership and office staff to support successful project delivery

  • Serve as a reliable, hands-on leader focused on customer satisfaction and problem resolution

  • Utilize estimating and project management software to improve accuracy, efficiency, and communication

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Commercial Paint Project Manager and/or Estimator

  • Direct experience in commercial painting is required

  • Proficiency with PlanSwift or similar estimating software

  • Strong understanding of commercial painting systems, scopes, and specifications

  • Ability to clearly present estimates, proposals, and services to clients

  • Comfortable using technology to streamline estimating and project management

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
